The Grove has made a major update to our popular Grove Team Performance SystemTM Team Leader Guide. During the pandemic, like many organizations, we shifted to virtual meetings and evolved our thinking about how teams work in today’s hybrid environment. Therefore, we have added more than a dozen new virtual practices, bringing the total best practices described to 103 total. They are all grouped by the stage in Team Performance where they are most likely to be used initially. We also rewrote many other practices to make it clear how to use them online as well as in person.

While we were at it, we redrew all the graphics, one of the features that makes this reference book so useful. All the graphic wall charts and group situations that support the various best practices are illustrated on the page-at-a-glance formats.

The sections supporting team leaders, the ones describing the Drexler/Sibbet Team Performance Model in detail, and the strategies for sequencing best practices to solve 13 common team challenges are all still included in an updated format.

Thank you very much for the possibility to do the survey in the Ombuds Team. I am not sure you remember me, but I was working closely with Krisztina, Zsofia and Joel when we started to use the Grove-model and the assessment in the organization.

I would like to take the opportunity to thank you for the meaningful collaboration over the last 6 years. You may have received the feedback from elsewhere, but sitting here I am, I can se how the organizational management culture benefited from using the model and the assessment in various ways in UNHCR.

The Team Performance Model is the most invaluable resource I’ve ever had in my entire professional life—nothing even comes close! I use it every single day because I’m a member of a team and a member of many teams. It’s a great structure for working with teams and helping them improve performance. It’s become a great ideation tool for things like, “How do you structure meetings?” We use the TP Model! We use it in micro and macro ways: redesign a whole process or use it for a 30-minute meeting.
